The girl who made British royal history

The little girl who made British royal history when she was born earlier this year has ben christened today.  Maud Windsor arrived a few weeks after distant cousin, Prince George, but this little baby is the first to benefit from the change of succession laws that means women can now hang on to their place in the pecking order even if they get a little brother.  OK, in Maud's case that's place number 42 but it's hers.  For now.  Until a more senior royal has a baby in which case she shuffles down.  But she's still made history.  And today she added her support to a new tradition as she wore the replica christening gown that Prince George was baptized in just a few months ago.  Two babies, two destinies, two places in history.
