Catching up with Harry

In days of old, a prince outside Buckingham Palace in the rain without even an umbrella might have been the start of another story but today it marked the beginning of a busy few weeks for Harry of Wales. The prince was there to unveil the UK team for the Invictus Games in Florida and while he was at it, his own schedule for the coming months was unveiled too. And boy, is Harry a busy boy.

His morning involved meeting the 110 strong team which will be flying the flag for Britain at the Games before taking part in the ceremonial handing over of the Invictus Flag to the US ahead of the tournament which starts in May.

At the same time it was revealed that Harry will be based in Florida between May 5th and May 13th for the duration of the second Invictus Games allowing him to be a full part of the competition which began in 2014 - a brainchild of the prince and brought to life with a lot of hard work and support from him.

But before Invictus Florida is even underway, Harry is looking to the future of the tournament long term. On May 2nd he will visit Toronto for the official launch of the third Invictus Games. He announced that the Canadian city would host the Games last month but this engagement marks the beginning of the countdown to that event.

Harry will arrive in Florida on May 4th and take part in a polo match supporting his charity, Sentebale, before settling down for the eight days of sporting action, cue royal cheering and speeches. All this follows hard on the heels of the packed Nepal tour and the surprise news that Harry was staying on afterwards to help with reconstruction work.

Just yesterday, the charity he worked with in Nepal on a rebuilding project at the end of his official visit released more details and photos of the prince's time in the country. Team Rubicon revealed that Harry had really got involved when he spent several days with them on a project that lasted two weeks in total and involved rebuilding a school in Lapubesi as well as repair a turbine in the village which is about 10 hours journey by road and foot from Kathmandu.

Harry clearly loved his time in Nepal. Now it's time for Invictus mark two - we're going to see a lot of this prince in the coming months.
